we aint kicking you out
There is a central core teaching of Christianity which is valuable or I should say _was_ valuable
As a vehicle for informing our choices in life
@esotericpazuzuism I were too but someone not only forbade but bombed the party here ...
We are entering into a new age and it doesn't make sense any more
People don't have faith
Christianity is a general guide book for life.... you have to do something for yourself
Well I do
I adhere to old values
like working at age 15?
Well, actually I did
just under the table
or more the convenient old values?
like not paying taxes and screaming about freeloaders?
just, kidding
I don't see the reason for considering yourself the arbiter of who should be booted
kids shouldn't pay taxes
I don't see that anyone gets booted from this server
@Hermitage Not the server
but you considered me to adhere to outdated, more harm than good beliefs
but its not more harm than good
today I thought about the word "Papa" @JFGariepy
You're right, it's not more harm than good
But to the extent that it interferes with the establishment of the new ideology
It's not great
Trying to live according to an old way when we exist in a new world
not many people use it, is it common in Quebec to address the father as papa?
I think is unhelpful
whats up
Problem is that the "new ideology" doesn't exist yet; people are looking for it, and falling into this siren song of "just convert to Catholicism and it'll be fine"
I don't believe that it will be fine
The problems that we face now and that we're dealing with now
Cannot be answered by Catholicism
There is no scripture that teaches us how to deal with social media
I don't believe that catholicism is suited to our problems
because I don't treat it as a solution
> There is no scripture that teaches us how to deal with social media
@Hermitage there is
social media is about pride
I treat it as a means to not burn in hell for all eternity
pride is a sin
