I keep coming back to this idea of buying a small block of land somewhere just outside the city and getting a removal home put in on stumps and building a first floor under it
out of curiousity I've been looking into it, it seems doable for me

for a $200k I could a block of land and a removal house installed and probably do most of the work on it

So today is my birthday and it has become the absolute worst the bast 5 years since international women’s day seem to become “important”.

basically they take old queenslander houses and move them around and put them on stumps

one of the cool things about here, queenslanders are big classic wooden houses on stumps and can be moved
so you can get them for pretty cheap

you can then use them as a sort of base for a house and build under it so you're saving money by only having to build half a house

and they can look really nice too

even without building under them queenslanders are great houses for our climate they stay cool in summer, I grew up in one and I can't even remember having to use fans in summer
