What's up guys
Sup bro @Stephen Will
@GoBackToWakanda2hello
You try to catch me late night or actually early morning
How's it going
Was there a biblical question for this week from Jesse?
Is it okay to do boxing or MMA, I think its good to create strong men but it also involves anger
@Genesis how's it involve anger
The best fighters are methodical and logical in their fighting
Right but you have to have some form of anger to be able to be violent
Not really violence it's competition
Obviously but fighting is a form of violence right
The goal is to hurt the opponent
I wouldn't say fighting on equal terms with respect for your opponent is violent
Violence doesent have to be bad right sometimes violence is neccessary
Yeah but in my opinion competitive fighting isn't violence
? what is violence then
Like if someone ran up on you in the street you don't know if they are trying to kill you or what
I think I understand what you're saying but violence doesn't have to be bad
trying to knock out someone is violent but is it okay to do from a Christian perspective
Obviously you should respect the opponent and only do what's necessary to win but I think it involves some form of anger so im not sure if it should be done
@Genesis you don't need anger to be violent. That's just what your anger/ego wants you to believe.
So you can be at peace whilst still being a good violent fighter?
Indeed
ok
Peace is within, violence is without
Hey fellas
heyyo
yo I also have another question when jesse says all thoughts are lies how in the world are u meant to decide what to do with your life without thinking
Stiller do u participate in combat sports?
sometimes I spar with friends
but not competitively no
Stiller, the thoughts pretend to be you but you're actually deeper than the thoughts
You can do everything you do now without thoughts
Try out the silent prayer, brother.
Sparring is fun.
I have been doing the silent prayer, but sometimes u know u gotta think about things like answers on a test or what to learn and what to ignore
amen brother
I wouldn't say so necessarily. For example when I am counting change for a customer, if I try to think about it, my mind goes blank. Yet, if I merely look at the money, I already know how much to give back
