Hello
Heyyyyyyy
@Abysmall what brought you? :>
I've mainly been active on the Mens Rights sub as of recent, and I thought this would be a great place to discuss men's issues
Then come join us.
Thanks!
Hi, I'm new here! Is there talk about advancing the cause in some way (helping others, spreading information, etc.)? Or is this group mostly about hanging out?
There are some politicians we can support together.
What if I'm not from the U.S.? 🙂
I guess what I'm trying to get at, is that (I think) we all want to see men get the same rights as women, and being treated with empathy and respect even when they're not at their best, like society does for women. So I'm wondering if there are any steps we can take in order to push towards these goals.
Hey @erezsh! We have people who make videos, get support, share news and info, hang out, way more. We strongly support and encourage activism, and we have had people do interviews at the woman's march before.
Nice! Well, I'm not super photogenic, but I'm a pretty good software engineer. If you think that could be useful, I'll be happy to help out once in a while.
Also I'm a decent writer. Possibly.
Hey @MaleMattersUSA! How are you doing?
Cool. Let me know how I can be of assistance.
No worries. :) If you want to write for us, we have a site too
Sure, I might give that a go 🙂
Cool. What sorts of subjects are you interested in?
That's a very open question. I approach things from a rational / scientific / philosophical point of view, so I'm mostly interested in abstract concepts and general ideas. For example I'm more interested in the patterns of dynamics between the genders, rather than specific examples of those dynamics. But at the same time, I recognize that while, for example, the explanation of how men have higher deviation of IQ (and other attributes) is very powerful, the story of a smart kid left behind because of preferential treatment can be very powerful as well.
Hey @spookybunny8!
@erezsh That's a good approach. Do you think you could write for a general audience?
