Letting go turns both off

2018-11-27 05:37:13 UTC

@Nic386 ***I know niggy the design just looks like more fun due to how complicated it would be***

2018-11-27 05:39:26 UTC

It would be more fun to direct a small fission reaction's energy out of a nozzle.

2018-11-27 05:51:39 UTC

Until it explodes the wrong way

2018-11-27 05:52:19 UTC

You're thinking of plasma

2018-11-27 05:58:03 UTC

No I'm not

2018-11-27 05:58:18 UTC

If a fission reaction explodes the wrong way, you're gonna regret it

2018-11-27 05:59:51 UTC

Thats how Melta works tho, and hey don't Gets Hot

2018-11-27 05:59:55 UTC

Don't worry about it

2018-11-27 06:08:13 UTC

I know

2018-11-27 16:16:31 UTC

Actually, the Melta is more akin to a microwave beam that agitates the fuck out of fuel particles until they reach a point where they act like both a fast and thermal neutron.

2018-11-27 16:16:39 UTC

Well, Mars-pattern Meltas anyway

2018-11-27 16:16:55 UTC

Other Melta weapons are lazy copies that just fire a small fusion beam.

2018-11-27 16:21:09 UTC

Also, a Melta-style fusion weapon would be very safe for the user.

2018-11-27 16:21:51 UTC

if you could do it with fusion yeah

2018-11-27 16:22:11 UTC

A high-beta reaction core, coupled with a thermal conversion magnetic field and a pulsed laser ignition system...

2018-11-27 16:22:45 UTC

Then you just leave one end "uncapped" as it were, and like water, it'll take th path of least resistance... out the barrel

2018-11-27 16:23:41 UTC

The only problem comes from whether or not the beam needs a magnetic field to maintain coherence, like plasma, or if it's a particle beam like a mini-Cassaba Howitzer.

2018-11-27 16:24:21 UTC

I'm thinking it's more like the second for Melta guns, but atmospheric interaction might definitely cause a plasma flare.

2018-11-28 10:16:01 UTC

Hey guys reloading question when I fire my reloads carbon gets all over the outside of the cases and I'm using near Max charge what to do

2018-11-28 10:21:46 UTC

You sure you're sizing your cases right?

2018-11-28 12:20:46 UTC

Are you just getting carbon on the case or is there any damage to the case

2018-11-28 14:29:45 UTC

I'm useing a Lee full sizing die for the caliber and no damage to any of the cases

2018-11-28 14:34:25 UTC

Maybe im flaring the mouth of the cases out too much I'm useing copper plated pills

2018-11-28 14:37:51 UTC

The round looks fine, I put a harder crimp on it thinking it would solve the problem, but it didn't

2018-11-28 14:53:14 UTC

Are you top end loading?

2018-11-28 14:56:04 UTC

Yes

2018-11-28 14:56:49 UTC

Back off a little

2018-11-28 14:56:49 UTC

Max is 9.3 I'm at 9

2018-11-28 14:59:06 UTC

Ok I'll give it a go. Thanks

2018-11-28 15:03:03 UTC

Try ladder stepping down

2018-11-29 03:43:26 UTC

Oi, i'm trying to get into gunsmithing

2018-11-29 03:43:29 UTC

where would I start?

2018-11-29 03:43:40 UTC

I blacksmith

2018-11-29 03:43:47 UTC

If that would help in gunsmithing

2018-11-29 03:44:26 UTC

can you use a mill?

2018-11-29 03:44:33 UTC

or at the very least a rotary tool?

2018-11-29 03:45:25 UTC

Aye, I can use a mill. So far the only thing i've done gun wise was buy a 80% lower for a 7.62 AR and fix up the rest of it.

2018-11-29 03:45:57 UTC

congrats you can be good

2018-11-29 03:46:04 UTC

learn to drill and tap then bed an action

2018-11-29 03:46:19 UTC

like tapping in scope mounts on old shit
