To be close to TT range

2018-11-27 04:14:09 UTC

25 yards of range would kill your CO2 real quick

2018-11-27 04:14:47 UTC

Make the CO2 easy to reload, it makes that an option, though you have to carry CO2 canisters

2018-11-27 04:14:54 UTC

Well

2018-11-27 04:14:57 UTC

Maybe not

2018-11-27 04:15:13 UTC

If you use diesel fuel you'd need a magnesium torch to light it effectively

2018-11-27 04:15:21 UTC

A tank setup but that's going to get heavy quick

2018-11-27 04:15:24 UTC

Which means the fuel can can be a CO2 reservoir

2018-11-27 04:15:28 UTC

Feed the co2 in

2018-11-27 04:15:48 UTC

Nah the hand flamer is fed by a worn fuel reserve

2018-11-27 04:15:55 UTC

CO2 would be on the gun

2018-11-27 04:16:15 UTC

Otherwise you'd lose the coolant properties as the gas expands down the tube

2018-11-27 04:16:52 UTC

You can easily run a foot or so of tubing around the critical parts and then feed it in to the compression stage

2018-11-27 04:17:17 UTC

Only downside is a slight delay when you fire

2018-11-27 04:17:28 UTC

But it's a functional showpiece so that's irrelevant

2018-11-27 04:24:31 UTC

Is the torch the simplest part? You can just mount a modified consumer end/industrial torch for that.

2018-11-27 04:25:58 UTC

I mean yeah, propane torch or magnesium torch it's pretty simple.

2018-11-27 04:26:04 UTC

Just slave it to the trigger

2018-11-27 04:26:20 UTC

Because you don't want a magnesium torch just burning all the time

2018-11-27 04:30:14 UTC

Yeah, but would it need to ignite before or at the same time that fuel is ejected

2018-11-27 04:30:38 UTC

Hmmm

2018-11-27 04:31:00 UTC

Two stage trigger

2018-11-27 04:31:13 UTC

Ignites burner THEN spews fuel

2018-11-27 04:32:39 UTC

Set up like the AUG/P90's?

2018-11-27 04:33:11 UTC

I guess, I wasn't aware they used two-stage triggers

2018-11-27 04:33:33 UTC

When they are set to auto they have a 2 stage

2018-11-27 04:33:43 UTC

When on semi it blocks the second stage

2018-11-27 04:37:34 UTC

So first stage ignites he burner, second begins fuel injection and pressurization

2018-11-27 04:37:44 UTC

Letting go turns both off

2018-11-27 05:37:13 UTC

@Nic386 ***I know niggy the design just looks like more fun due to how complicated it would be***

2018-11-27 05:39:26 UTC

It would be more fun to direct a small fission reaction's energy out of a nozzle.

2018-11-27 05:51:39 UTC

Until it explodes the wrong way

2018-11-27 05:52:19 UTC

You're thinking of plasma

2018-11-27 05:58:03 UTC

No I'm not

2018-11-27 05:58:18 UTC

If a fission reaction explodes the wrong way, you're gonna regret it

2018-11-27 05:59:51 UTC

Thats how Melta works tho, and hey don't Gets Hot

2018-11-27 05:59:55 UTC

Don't worry about it

2018-11-27 06:08:13 UTC

I know

2018-11-27 16:16:31 UTC

Actually, the Melta is more akin to a microwave beam that agitates the fuck out of fuel particles until they reach a point where they act like both a fast and thermal neutron.

2018-11-27 16:16:39 UTC

Well, Mars-pattern Meltas anyway

2018-11-27 16:16:55 UTC

Other Melta weapons are lazy copies that just fire a small fusion beam.
