"but muh EMS workers", yeah, pay them off state taxes.
I was hoping the USCG would go nuts and attack the capital
Y'know... I'd have been like "lol coasties", but they probably see more action more often than most soliders.
Coasties have training on par with the USMC
Which isn't something the other branches can brag about.
Fucking damn
I also begrudgingly admit that
If another Marine heard that I'd have to turn in my crayon pass
Yeah, I mean they basically do what the Marines would traditionally do. Ship to ship and boarding actions, etc.
inb4 retard who never served but, is in this /k/ discord goes "nuhuh not true lol coasties fags and not real branch"
That's extra tarded. Coasties put in work.
The one I know is now on the dolphin SAR teams after an arctic expedition on the Polar Star
They fail people who fuck up on the smallest of things, like jumpers.
I'd imagine so, no room for error on their jobs.
(IE: String that hangs off your uniform, looks like a zipline, hence the nickname jumper. If you don't police it, they drop people back a week)
By doing shit like that they keep the Coastes in a state of constant hypervigilance/suicide watch level of stress for their entire boot camp
3 drops and you are out of the USCG
If that's what it takes, that's what it takes. Gotta break you from being a civvie so you can be a Coastie.
It's not like the Corps in the sense that, the fastest way out of P.I is to just pass the boot camp and not get hurt
I don't know how their physical shit is. It's not as high but, it's god damn close.
Their bootcamp is 53 days, roughly
Ours is 70 training days for a total of 13 weeks
They also get more gun hours than most POGs or branches due to the war on drugs and terror.
Yeah, like I said, they intercept cartel shipments and all that shit. They get shot at pretty regularly.
Plus, >shooting off bote at another bote
That's difficult. Like, REALLY difficult.
It is, it's constant trajectory calculations, windage, and rocking. It's pure training.
It's why in a way, /k/ has burnt me out a little bit. Seeing all the dumb shit or excuses compared to just learning what works and using what works. I shift between the gun lore and /k/ culture and the hard fact of "this is for a job."
?
I don't think it's something I can easily explain in text.
That's fair.
🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔
Alright boys so back to the war sim
I'm gonna try to take out Maduro using the Jaish e Mohammad terrorist group
Already smuggled weapons and funds to Guido's army
I have aid convoys going to Pakistan and India
Is that quarterpounder
I'm thinking work with the terries, help them get some foothold in Kashmir in return they turn their back on Maduro (they're working together)
Other future targets are Kim Jong and maybe India for the whole anti Muslim thing
Playing anti hero here
