Is Tarkov good? I was tempted to buy it but noticed it wasn't on steam and somewhat pricey

It's good imo

Its not an easy game. You will die. A lot

In some ways, its like DayZ, but its a lot less hassle to get some stuff only to get sniped from a mile away by someone camping the shoreline

I like challenging games and I've put a more hours than I care to mention into DayZ mod and Standalone

Standalone felt like crap imo

Prefered the mod

Same, it was more plain survival than zombie survival

Even then it's mostly fighting off dehydration

It didn't have anything that set it appart from the plethora of other games

Sure modders might fix the game for us in a few more months

I haven't tried it since it came out of early access a few days ago but I've been meaning to try it

Yeah, think of Tarkov essentially as a more session based DayZ, with AI that actually mostly works and is a problem at times

EFT is fun but it's got a shitton of issues right now that the devs won't address

I'm kind of glad DayZ was a shitshow

I got burned by it and it's given me a healthy dose of cynicism for early access shit

I somewhat feel the same but also have the idea that I spent money on it and I want to get my worth from the game instead of seeing it as a complete waste of money. No matter what it won't be worth 5 years of waiting though

In other news it's speculated through data mining that Fallout 76 is going to implement loot boxes
