Seriously I don't know how people are still defending FO76.
I knew it was going to be a trainwreck from the start
It's a fucking Battle-Royale Rust-clone style game when nobody fucking wanted that ever.
Their entire gimmick was "nurr hurr launch nukes"
Its the exact wrong kind of multiplayer fallout people wanted
It's not even a Rust clone @RoflTank
Due to the botching of PVP
So it's just terrible
>I play rust
Honestly FO4 was the perfect game for drop-in/out MP
Have up to 4 player coop with respawning encounter zones that scale to player level AND count
Automatic mod synch and install
F76 is worse fo4
It took out everything worthwhile about FO4 and then shat on the rest.
There's not much worthwhile about FO4 to begin with and they still shat on it
hell I could atleast turn my brain off and enjoy fallout 4
FO4 is actually a really good game. It's just not a good *Fallout* game.
They expanded on things people really liked about previous titles, like Power Armor and crafting, but they for some reason axed interesting mechanics like ammo types and ammo crafting
If they hadn't pushed for voiced PC's then they wouldn't have needed to gut the dialogue system
they axed the roleplaying element hard to, which is why people shit on it, and I can understand that. I enjoyed the combat a lot from the previous 2, so this felt like an upgrade there, though I did miss rollplaying options and some ammo type options sometimes.
Exactly. It's a great FPS/TPS set in the Fallout universe, but without the heavy RPG elements it's just not a true Fallout title.
Funnily enough one of the first and greatest mods for FO4 was bringing back the old dialogue system
Now if only they could make SPECIAL and Skill checks matter again
I miss being able to flex on small brain niggas with my 10 Intelligence characters.
tfw 850 SP by level 50
Honestly, when they made fallout 3, they shouldve just dropped the rpg pretense with the change in medium
Fallout 4at least was an alrighr shooter, but it still is an fpsrpg where things either die instantly or domt fucking die
At the same time, TBRPGs are kind of boring.
I mean... an Initiative based "turn" order or time unit system isn't nearly as bad as a classic TBRPG, but it gets old and gimmicky.
Fpsrpg needs to just die as a genre. They always end up relying on sponges
That's an idiotic statement.
Every game relies on sponges.
I wouldn't say that FO4 was a great shooter, it relies on the trope of just giving more dangerous enemies more HP without changing how they fight or think
Oh I absolutely agree the AI needs a revamp
That's what mods are for
I was able to kill almost any enemy with an SNG with the bleed effect
I would say it was a mediocre shooter at best
Every game has some sort of sponginess, but fpsrpg has to rely on that dialed up to eleven
Not really
Good FPSRPG rely on new and interesting enemies with varied abilities and reactions
