spectre is pretty overrated as a flaw tbh

it really only affects VMs and cloud services

average joe wouldn't be affected on his personal device

i don't do VM anyway so whatever. the extra bit of security is a peace of mind for me lol

the real threat is Intel's AMT/ME systems

which have been demonstrated by researchers to be capable of hosting malware

and being impossible to remove
