How does Volkite do on the tabletop anyway?

I’ve never played with or against it, it’s been years since I played an actual game

8th edition made it a little meh in my eyes

I like the Heresy and 7th edition rules for it which were for every successful wound yet does 2 more hits to the unit, those do not have the same rule

It's only str 5 AP 5 for most of them

Though the heavier weapons go to str 6 AP 4

I have to paint like one or two models at a time because I have the habit of putting too much effort into something as small as a cultist.

Also doesn't help that I currently have like $400 worth of stuff to build then eventually paint all of that and much more

Has anyone ever created a backstory as a excuse for why they haven't painted their shit yet?

I mean my home-brew chapter's color is a similar grey to plastic anyway

@YoureWaifu Penny Arcade did a similar gag. Tycho pulled a lore excuse out of his ass for why his SW Legion minis weren't painted, claiming they were from a world with intense fog and grey was their camo
