Star Wars does actually have military doctrine, well at least the clones do and special forces for both the clones and storm troopers as well.
It's just a huge part of Star Wars combat when it comes to the Clones and Storm Troopers is that (for the most part) they are nameless, faceless tools of war. So if they die, it's just a statistic and nothing else.

I remember in one of the books

that a squadron of TIEs is considered a rounding error.

The X-Wing series of novels put alot of doctrine out there

just the game isn't canon

But the old legends canon is a mess

but they are pulling things from legends, which is good.

Thrawn Trilogy was good, and helped establish alot. X-Wing series is GOD TIER, and was consistent with Thrawn lore.

New Jedi Order(Post Civil War) is okay

regarding TLJ, the subplot with Rey/Luke was interesting, as was Rey/Ben

the confrontation with Snoke and the Imperial Guard was briefly when I felt like I was watching an actual Star Wars film
