lots of people at my local GW store hate Volkite and will always be Plasma > Volkite coz they go tard mode with "muh ROF and muh overcharge"
while Volkite might be a bit slower but nukes whatever it hits without a need for a dumb overcharge mode that can kill the person using it
It would have been nice if CSM got Volkite as a sidegrade for plasma

Yeah AdMech are the only ones that even get a hint of Volkite currently (excluding vehicles of course) @Gunslinger
That's if I can recall my lists correctly though
Tartaros terminator captain can take a Volkite Charger
which is totally eclipsed by a fucking Plasma Blaster

and one of the other varieties can take Reaper AC's
because apparently losing 30k tech was a meme only told to CSM players
whatever, they're nothing special for weapons but it still pisses me off
Tech Priest Dominus have it and I think Secutarii Pletasts have it as an alternate weapon but it's eclipsed by their main weapon which can fire 3 different forms of ammo to make them viable in literally any situation
The problem with giving CSM volkite is that volkite requires a relatively high level of upkeep and the CSM don't really take care of their stuff well
I suppose you could explain it away with warp tho
It's more of a general lack of resources which the Imperium gets
But the warp can be a factor too, doing whatever to the weapon as it pleases
I'm liking the new sculpts but the AC5 on the shadow hawk was a bit bent out of the box
