I was under the impression that rarity did atleast give them better stat growth and better overall stats when they are maxed out

I know rarity doesn't mean better per say, M2 is one of the best machine guns and is only a 3 star

Do be fair I don't use too many 3 stars at this point, though with my unlocking a new echelon I'll have to look at M14 again

You'll get better use from good tile buffs and eq than stats

Well some dolls have such good stats on their own they're worth using in that merit, like The afformentioned M2, and UMP 45.
To be fair those are the only 2 examples I can think of, they could be the only ones

45 and 9's skills work well in tandem as well

I find that 404 meshes really well together with tile buffs
