two big runways, an old rail area and an overgrown barracks

that is cool

all the important stuff (the underground area) is walled off military secrets still

was apparently a huge bunker complex between the two runways going down multiple floors

so they let 150 autists run around once a month and shoot each other

that is very cool

its pretty fun but man I hate the average airsoft kiddy

There was an old submarine listening station near me looking for U-boats coming into the bay

and later Soviet subs probing the US

thats pretty cool

My town doesn't have much in the way of WW2 stuff but its a lot older

Our town has a supposedly ancient cave/tunnel system beneath it in places thats now shut down for another 3-4 years as they rennovate it

was used as bomb shelters during the war

yeah so was this one. Its got three doors. One was concreted over, one still had the blast doors on it and was welded, and the other was buried.
