The Russian and east german ones have the best manufacturing quality

But imo polish Radom p64 is fine too especially considering the difference in price as they are still surplused.

Maybe he suggests the Baikal one as they made a .380ACP export model that was imported to the US for a while. So you dont have to mail order ammo.

Very few have made “Not an SKS”

The vz52 uses an entirely proprietary bolt and gas system

It has nothing to do with the sks minus being later converted to it's caliber

It resembles a gewehr semi in overall format

But the front tilting bolt and concentric gas piston are exclusively czech

It does however have a garand style safety and German inspired sight.

The VZ is unique in that it has an incredibly smooth and robust gas system, and being entirely concentric around the barrel, the barrel is the piston guide
