Good thing Romanian imports are still going

2018-12-24 03:43:53 UTC

Yeah but I'd be wary. Romanians are Gypsies so they price gouge a lot.
I heard they were trying to screw over SGammo on ammunition imports a while back.

2018-12-24 03:44:28 UTC

But ye, Devito. Just hit up some of us if you wanna buy something and we will give you the TLDR of the gat

2018-12-24 03:44:33 UTC

Yeah the WASRs are pricy but they're at-least made properly right?

2018-12-24 03:45:11 UTC

RH10s are paratrooper WASRs and are cheaper.

2018-12-24 03:45:41 UTC

You can usually get WASRs pretty cheap second hand, just make sure the bore and internals aren't beat to shit.

2018-12-24 03:46:00 UTC

I saw the newer polish imports too, only potential issue I'd heard about them was the cast trunion

2018-12-24 03:46:02 UTC

Or if you're in Alabama near Brimingham, you can get WASRs for sub 600$ at some shops

2018-12-24 03:46:31 UTC

Though I haven't seen much at all so idk

2018-12-24 03:46:56 UTC

I mean hell. Try to link up with a local kommando who builds AKs and buy a parts kit.

2018-12-24 03:47:05 UTC

Then you'll know you have a fucking good gun then at least.

2018-12-24 03:47:15 UTC

Thats pioneer arms I think

2018-12-24 03:47:25 UTC

The one I'm talking about above I mean

2018-12-24 03:47:33 UTC

Yeh. I heard they had rough stuff

2018-12-24 03:47:45 UTC

"Rough" ?

2018-12-24 03:56:01 UTC

Rough, poorly made, shit

2018-12-24 03:56:44 UTC

ah

2018-12-24 03:56:50 UTC

unfortunate

2018-12-24 04:01:34 UTC

So the plan is to use the DPMS as a practice rifle and get an AR-10 or FN FAL down the road once I know what the fuck I’m doing. Any suggestions on good places to shop around for an AR-10 that won’t fuckin rape my bank account but also won’t get me called poor?

2018-12-24 04:02:51 UTC

most AR-10s ive seen are around 850-1000

2018-12-24 04:03:22 UTC

Solid ice lower 🤔

2018-12-24 04:08:43 UTC

That’s not too bad tho?

2018-12-24 04:09:08 UTC

Thought $850-$1000 was normal for a gun.

2018-12-24 04:10:08 UTC

Just didn’t wanna drop more than 2k on something if I can avoid it but the FN FAL is prolly gonna be more than that. It’s understandable tho it’s a good gun.

2018-12-24 04:25:09 UTC

@Bean Drinker go shoot your AR a bit before deciding what’s next

2018-12-24 04:29:09 UTC

The biggest issue with AR10 rifles is the lack of interchangeability of parts between manufacturers

2018-12-24 04:29:40 UTC

Also you should think about _why_ you want a .308 rifle.

2018-12-24 04:30:18 UTC

(Not saying that they are necessarily bad, but don’t just buy one because someone on the web said that you should buy one after you buy an AR)

2018-12-24 04:36:11 UTC

On the upside, you can run 7.62 NATO through a .308 rifle with no issues because 7.62 NATO is a lighter load than .308

2018-12-24 04:50:50 UTC

But it might short stroke in semi autos

2018-12-24 04:56:26 UTC

Rarely

2018-12-24 04:56:30 UTC

Depends on the rifle

2018-12-24 04:56:40 UTC

Most are over gassed so you should be fine

2018-12-24 04:57:09 UTC

Surplus runs in my chinkshit M14 fine

2018-12-24 05:02:23 UTC

My friend's Garand only really likes 168gr 308, but we ain't shooting that at the range so we make due with the constant failure to feeds

2018-12-24 05:02:34 UTC

But that's a special case I think

2018-12-24 05:04:18 UTC

My PSA10 hates 7.62 NATO

2018-12-24 05:04:42 UTC

But I don't think it's a special case

2018-12-24 05:05:38 UTC

I think it's a special case in that the Garand was generally rather particular with 30-06 loads, it's likely to be the same with 308

2018-12-24 05:08:35 UTC

I would expect civilian AR-10s to be made for 308, so they're not like lighter 7.62, but idk about the civilian M1as and stuff like that, is the gas system modified to like 308?

2018-12-24 05:08:55 UTC

By "stuff like that" I mean rifles originally chambered for 7.62x51
