My mom and little sister both wanna get into just having some fun with one of my old 12 gauges
And I only shot, maybe, a hundred rounds in the last year
So I have no idea what good, cheap ammo brands are out there
Any advice would be much appreciated

These guys?
ye
use ammoseek or SGAmmo for cheap plinking rounds
@Alvor_the_Warhawk I can personally vouch for Fiocchi's handgun ammo. Gr8 quality for the price
PPU and magtech I've had good times with
Reloading looks like fun
Reloading is time consuming
@Alvor_the_Warhawk for a 12ga and recreational shooting, you can just get target loads (which are cheaper and also lower recoil than things like buckshot)
If it’s a pump or break action shotgun, they aren’t picky with ammo. Federal, Estate are fine
Avoid Winchester
For shotgun ammo, or in general?
I know their pistol ammo is crap
In general
Their shotgun ammo is stupid price wise. It works in a break action but it's stupid on price
I have some 9x18 Fiocci that works fine in my Mak.
PPU is fair quality for good price.
I usually go for Federal game field and game loads with my Vepr-12 if I just want to plink or `REEEEEEEEE` at pests.
Federal is decent
Ammoseek is always your friend for this
PPU is always a good choice
If it existed, PPU probably makes it for half the price at the same quality as another manufacturer
Ppu also makes most of the Wildcats
Ppu is litteraly the good guy Greg meme of ammo makers
I love them
There's cheaper ammo out there, but you're digging through import ammo from combloc at that point
And all that shit is corrosive
Yep
PPU brass is also great for reloading
I don't think they use Berdan primers on anything, just Boxer.
Can’t say that PPU would be my first choice unless it was some odd caliber
I haven’t been super impressed with their quality.
Maybe I've just gotten lucky then
Only issues I've ever had while using ppu were mag related. Never once had a bad primer
