space dandy when
NIGGA let me fight in SPACE
I really do hope for the day of mechs
^
No shit I've had this debate before
oh man
mechs are my pp activator
We all came to the conclusion that nothing over 6m/2 stories will be viable
That's fine
But the problem is that the main people with the time and money to build them don't understand the actual forces at play when:
Heavy metal object A hits heavy metal object B square in the face and there's only a metal cage protecting the pilot
I can see the days where people on forums are bitching over the historical effectivness of mechs in real combat and some fucker buying one used and painting it in Zeon camo
Also, it has to be a flat-top design, like a MWO Direwolf or 40k Warhound
Because CIWS
just strap mirrors on that hoe
all good to go
SUBMARINE mechs is where it's at
Oh, and I btfo the niggas that come at me with the "but joints are hard to armor" bullshit
@RoflTank weelllllllllllll nothing over 6m is viable ***right now***
i want to put a rocket launcher on the dick
or shit like a bipedal mech would just sink
Rip pressure
EVERYTHING sinks in mud too
That's why you make your own ground.
Which is a big meme to me
time to flatten
Also, bipedal mechs would only be good for light recon units
You'd want a hexapod for a real combat mech
Depends on how the Warfare evolves
the same people who use the weight argument forget that there were some big as lizards 60million years ago
Because leg redundancy
^
Some 30+ ton lizards with a ground pressure of WAY the fuck higher than a theoretical Mech
Boys we may never live to see the day of combat mechs
Fuck, I really need to get my workshop set up
someone contact Elon musket
@RoflTank pretty sure some of the biggest land based dinos we ever discovered were upwards of 50tons IIRC, so yeah the weight argument is kinda bullshit to the boomers and zoomers that make it
^
The argesaurus or some shit
most bipedal mechs would probably be like the mantis
