That's the idea I take from Stoicism, that "you DON'T have to worry about things that aren't under your control"

@Rhunespire I agree, but my point is there is a reasonable limit to stoicism. Stoicism is about not being controlled by emotion, which is not solely about pain. Suicide requires overcoming fear as well, so it can be stoic in practice as long as it is not emotionally driven.
