get rabbits n snares from the cane/bamboo patch when they try to get to my garden
I wonder how harsh winters are
when fully off the grid
depends on where u live... not bad here... i heat w/wood
In montana it is harsh, you better have your wood supply and food in before the snow falls.
got big front windows so sorta solar on good days too
i cut a lil wood all yr... jus try to stay a yr ahead so its seasoned when m rdy to use it
Double pain?
I was looking at South West Oregon Valley in a couple years
2 inchs of snow on average
ye... i got 2 8x6 foot double pain windows on the south side of a 32x24 cabin
I'm more than likely headed to Alaska. Depending on how important firearm ownership is to you Thompson, you may need to change your plans in a few years. Oregon my be the new California.
Nice
got some on the north side too n can open n summer to vent the heat... tin roof
I love the sound of rain on a tin roof, reminds me of my Grandmas house.
shed style caabin
makes sleepin on a rainy day great...heheh
lol
@Kelevra I'm aware of how bad Washington & Oregon are, the west coast past the cascades are cancer
I'm picking Oregon cause of the environment and growing season
@Thompson_45 I hear ya brother, most people around here know there is something coming and it's going to be ugly.
also, I lost all my 80% AR builds in a tragic boating accident in the pacific
well when I plan on building them in the future
got two 10x14 bedrooms... 10x10 bathroom ... 10x10 storage room.... 12x24 kitchen living area w/a wood stove
Sorry to hear it
haha
Sounds like a dream old man, I wish I had that.
not big but comfy as hell for me n my boy
but the question is
do you have a bunker
i got 36 acres w/two caves... does that count?
a house is nice and all till wildfires get out of control
unless you're in the ozarks
No bunker, and if anyone else knows you have one then it is useless and a detriment to you.
west coast is all about wilfires
wildfires not a prob here... not common n this part of the country
brb
nice
m n the ozark foothills of oklahoma
Man I'd love to have my own swath of land to roam with my hunting dog
