Well my mom might not have been all sunshine and rainbows I found out. My dad was paralyzed for 5 years before he died and my mom took care of him. I thought she was really good to have done that.........until my grandmother introduced the possibility in my head that my mother might have been seeing the guy she's current married to while my dad was alive.......but I've got no way of proving it, it just seems likely to be the case

If you could make a very powerful person your friend, but accidentally broke something of theirs without them knowing, and knowing that if you told them they'd fuck you over, would you make that powerful person your friend or tell them you fucked everything up at one point and lose out on the opportunity? Likewise my mother new my stepdad probably wouldn't like a hoe and left that part out. Now he's given her everything.

In the same way, and for the same reasons, my mother was a dumb shit who refused to learn anything even if you tried teaching her. I'd always open a browser and pull up google for her; she'd get angry when I tried showing her how to do it. Shit like this really redpilled me early on.

@GingerSnaps I actually count myself lucky. I have the same disposition as you but I still try and treat my stepdad as nicely as possible. He gave me a job making 45k/yr right out of highschool in IT. Of course I had to do my part as well and know my shit, but still, I wouldn't have had the opportunity without him. Poor guy makes like 100k/yr and my mother drains him fucking dry

@ResolvingParadox13 yeah I've heard more good stories about step parents, at least dads than not. Doesn't change my outlook on it though. My sister is a step mother. I have a step dad, my best friend was raised well i guess you can say by his step dad.
