They tell me it’s because often times they end up taking work home and dealing with kids parents can get pretty stressful

In Rhode Island they get paid over the summer

But they get paid bimonthly

Also I wouldn’t mind taking work home, in my state teachers make their own lesson plans so I’d be making my own work to take home pretty much

It wouldn’t be comfy and fun if I didn’t enjoy kids, or teaching

Plus they have to buy a lot of school supplies themselves because the funding is shit at the high school I went to
