EUROPEAN!?!?

2019-09-27 15:19:35 UTC

am/pm is like the one americanized thing that actually is very practical

2019-09-27 15:19:45 UTC

farenheit is more practical than celsius

2019-09-27 15:19:48 UTC

imperial is gay, but am/pm is what humans have used for 1000s of years

2019-09-27 15:20:10 UTC

@Eris im american.... i dont even know what freezing and boiling point is

2019-09-27 15:20:25 UTC

literally who cares about freezing or boiling water

2019-09-27 15:20:33 UTC

its about weather

2019-09-27 15:20:40 UTC

0F: too cold to go outside

2019-09-27 15:20:44 UTC

100F too hot to go outside

2019-09-27 15:20:53 UTC

perfect practical scale

2019-09-27 15:21:01 UTC

uh, thats celcius

2019-09-27 15:21:01 UTC

lol but you can know that with celcius too, you just know it at different limits

2019-09-27 15:21:20 UTC

in F, 32ish is freezing, and 212ish is boiling

2019-09-27 15:21:25 UTC

at 100c you will literally boil alive

2019-09-27 15:21:31 UTC

uh, duh?

2019-09-27 15:21:34 UTC

and no

2019-09-27 15:21:36 UTC

you wouldnt

2019-09-27 15:21:46 UTC

thats for boiling water, flesh has a higher boiling point derp derp

2019-09-27 15:21:54 UTC

it's still obscenely hot

2019-09-27 15:22:00 UTC

exactly

2019-09-27 15:22:05 UTC

exactly

2019-09-27 15:22:07 UTC

100f is

2019-09-27 15:22:13 UTC

the exact point where it's too hot to go outside

2019-09-27 15:22:16 UTC

Both systems are just kinda arbitrary which is why kelvin exists, really it just matters what you are use too

2019-09-27 15:22:17 UTC

not way way way beyond it

2019-09-27 15:22:38 UTC

and 0f is NOT the exact point where its too cold to go outside

2019-09-27 15:22:42 UTC

dyeah it is

2019-09-27 15:22:43 UTC

thats over 30 degrees below freezing

2019-09-27 15:22:49 UTC

yeah

2019-09-27 15:22:51 UTC

im not going outside at freezing point

2019-09-27 15:22:51 UTC

you're not not. shut up

2019-09-27 15:22:56 UTC

lots of people do

2019-09-27 15:23:01 UTC

dumb people

2019-09-27 15:23:18 UTC

you can go out in shorts at 30f

2019-09-27 15:24:02 UTC

it is a perfect scale that ranges from the bottom level of human habitability to the top

2019-09-27 15:24:12 UTC

perfect for practical use by everyday people

2019-09-27 15:24:17 UTC

They're really the same in terms of validity of use celcius is just more popular globally because the royal society adopted it in 1776 and other scientific groups at the time in europe did which then bled down to other people

2019-09-27 15:24:26 UTC

celsius is useless

2019-09-27 15:24:32 UTC

literally who the fuck cares about boiling water
