I installed Debian onto a 12-year-old notebook last night. Tonight, I'm playing NetHack and fumbling through the controls.

Options for games are limited when you're stuck with an OpenGL 2.1 integrated GPU from 2007.

I don't have a keypad, nor a mouse for the time being. The keyboard interrupts the touchpad no matter how I reconfigure it (probably a hardware-level conflict), so I'm mostly stuck with keyboard input.

That leaves me with a couple games I know of.

Even Doom is limited at first glance, because the motherfucker Graf decided that a 1993 game needs OpenGL 4.x to run his GZDoom engine. I got the Boom engine instead.
