You're right @NameGoesHere..He and Peter McKay leader of the then Progressive Conservative Party joined the two parties together.
Stephen Harper also worked for Preston Manning developing policy at the beginning and then he ran as a candidate I think in '93 in a Calgary riding in which he won by the way.
Yes, I remember when Harper won the leadership nomination. I thought for sure it would be manning. I hadn’t even heard of Harper at that point
