They did integrate multiple times.

2020-01-22 00:57:49 UTC

HOWEVER. some things need to be changed to make that easier and we have to stop letting more and more in.... 2 million a year, mind you

2020-01-22 00:58:09 UTC

The problem they had initially was racism but eventually that shit never went away

2020-01-22 00:59:04 UTC

i mean any foreigner in a new homeland will be treated with some level of caution or hesitation. I personally dislike the civil rights act.

2020-01-22 00:59:41 UTC

What made hispanics become apart of America was deciding to be American

2020-01-22 00:59:49 UTC

Basically Murray and Herenstein figured (probably correctly) that their research would be written off with, "Well these outcomes are really about race" so they did Chapter 13 to include racial data. That's why *Coming Apart* is important because Murray (Herenstein died shortly after Bell Curve) said, "OK then I can show the same shift using only white Americans too.

I think it overstepped a lot by ending freedom of association

2020-01-22 01:00:47 UTC

humans self-segregate automatically... if freedom of association was not ended, and welfare was never put in

2020-01-22 01:01:15 UTC

RAXIZT

2020-01-22 01:01:17 UTC

we would see communities with people who integrate into the american way... or so youd think right?

i mean there was a "black wallstreet" and so on... theyd just have their own businesses and etc.

2020-01-22 01:01:37 UTC

People self segregate more on values and class more so than race. At least I think that's more common.

2020-01-22 01:02:13 UTC

this is really fun to play around with

2020-01-22 01:02:18 UTC

speaking of that

2020-01-22 01:03:11 UTC

but yeah, to some degree i do think demographics is destiny. It just has to do with the rate at which the new demographic is coming in. if the rate is slowed down to a level that is controlled. and we didnt have welfare and etc.

then it wouldnt be quite as bad

2020-01-22 01:03:17 UTC

I think white supremacy being applied to other countries or nationalities outside of the US is quite interesting considering it was used as justification for a "moral" and "ideal" people to contend with owning other people and mistreating them.

2020-01-22 01:04:49 UTC

But obviously it was so effective it persists to today but I think most white supremacists have never engaged with other races in an way that shows them how similar they are.

2020-01-22 01:05:19 UTC

good grief there really is nothing out west.

2020-01-22 01:05:22 UTC

well i mean... ive been thinking about the white privilege thing...
Do we not get an advantage just because this is our native land? I mean of course we do. If I showed up in Saudi Arabia, Id probably notice some arabian privilege's lol

but i wouldnt consider that evil or racist.

2020-01-22 01:05:36 UTC

I mean, I know there isn't anything out there, i have driven it several times.

2020-01-22 01:05:44 UTC

but just seeing a map of it like this

2020-01-22 01:05:55 UTC

and white supremacists are dumb. i dont think any race is inherently superior or inferior. i think that certain races are inferior or superior at specific things then others on _average_

2020-01-22 01:06:09 UTC

and i think thats just common sense frankly

2020-01-22 01:06:25 UTC

california IS diseased, but not because of race.

2020-01-22 01:07:02 UTC

I know

2020-01-22 01:07:18 UTC

and yah, it has a very sickly color

2020-01-22 01:07:20 UTC

I think white privilege is something more to do with creating a power imbalance based on race rather than identifying an unfair advantage.

2020-01-22 01:07:46 UTC

right i mean its not based on race

2020-01-22 01:07:48 UTC

Assuming you could even correct it to begin with if such an advantage existed.

2020-01-22 01:07:56 UTC

black americans have american privilege's

2020-01-22 01:08:02 UTC

i'm kinda wondering why the south has so much more blacks then the rest of the country.
my guess is they like the hoter weather and so stay in that area.

2020-01-22 01:08:08 UTC

that they would not experience elsewhere.

2020-01-22 01:08:47 UTC

A lot of them stayed there for work afterwards.

2020-01-22 01:09:11 UTC

ok, fine slavery is why they were there first, but why did they stay there? @UnScottable

2020-01-22 01:09:17 UTC

Work

2020-01-22 01:09:27 UTC

cuz they like the white businesses and communities so much

2020-01-22 01:09:31 UTC

Most slaves ended up as employees afterwards.
