They aren't long for this stage of the GOP.

2020-02-10 23:13:19 UTC

There is a reason why the Republican Establishment support Trump despite wanting to destroy him.

2020-02-10 23:13:42 UTC

They fear being lynched.

2020-02-10 23:14:13 UTC

Because their own base would do it.

2020-02-10 23:21:20 UTC

Trump is growing stronger

2020-02-10 23:21:25 UTC

Democrats: we have the support of the young people and minorities!

2020-02-10 23:21:46 UTC

12 year olds mainly

2020-02-10 23:22:40 UTC

Also Democrats: *run 80-year-old white dude*

2020-02-10 23:24:57 UTC

To be fair, though, the Republicans aren't safe either. Trump has the party stitched together right now, but once he's out, I see the neo-cons and corporate Repubs getting thrown out of the party

The DOJ finally has a fucking spine

2020-02-11 02:14:06 UTC

These people aren't going to change until the US government goes in and arrest these mayors for treason.

2020-02-11 02:15:02 UTC

Since these mayors are actively breaking the law in order to subvert the nation.

2020-02-11 02:15:37 UTC

Once one of these mayors get shot during their arrest, the rest will fall into line.

2020-02-11 02:28:13 UTC

YES

2020-02-11 02:28:23 UTC

we'll see if it goes anywhere.

2020-02-11 02:32:03 UTC

Just pull all federal funding and make the politicians legally/financially liable for every crime commited in their city by an illegal

Politics aside, that’s fucking gold

When anti-Trumpers try to claim that he and his supporters are violent, just point out that the Guardian lists 52 instances of pro-Trump violence, whereas the amount of violence *against* them is closer to ten times that:

This link got buried on page 2 or 3 of Google when searching for "violence against Trump supporters" in lieu of articles and lists of attacks *by* Trump supporters.

i dont think violence is the top complaint from anti trumpers, i think its more of racism, homophobia, incompetence, anti-Semitic, hate etc.

2020-02-11 05:04:10 UTC

whether or not any of thats true is another story

2020-02-11 05:04:53 UTC

The problem here is the seemingly conscious denial of violence against Trump supporters. Just last week you had an individual drive a van into the tent of a Trump rally in an attempt to kill a mass group, yet this received no coverage from any major news networks.

2020-02-11 05:05:46 UTC

thats cause the major news networks dont care about covering news, they care about making money.

2020-02-11 05:06:13 UTC

Touche, but the statistics above do highlight the disparity in coverage as a whole.

2020-02-11 05:06:54 UTC

if anything the major news networks have helped advertise for trump

2020-02-11 05:07:09 UTC

That's undeniably true.

2020-02-11 05:08:41 UTC

I'm a strong advocate for justice against violence, regardless of political affiliation. That goes for Trump supporters hurling bricks at the woman's march, and groups like antifa assaulting innocent civilians.

2020-02-11 05:08:59 UTC

then again, if you classify hate speach as "violence" like the left often do, it'd probably go the other way XD

2020-02-11 05:11:11 UTC

I'm more concerned for the fallout should Trump win re-election. Similar to the 2016 protests, I expect a litany of violent outbursts across the country - destruction of private property, assaulting of bystanders, and rioting in the streets - to be either glossed over by mainstream media or defended as acts of righteous protest.

2020-02-11 05:13:56 UTC

true

2020-02-11 05:22:18 UTC

although i expect more marches than violence, thats how we show our outrage

2020-02-11 05:22:30 UTC

remember the pussyhats?
