which is why when it was copied over to the ECHR they changed it to "enjoy property" instead of "buy property"
I don't think they liked the free speech part either
"Article 18.
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance."
Also...
@wacka look at the 3rd paragraph
"Article 16.
(1) Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.
(2) Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses.
(3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State."
Big oof
yeah when they copied that one over to ECHR, they took out the word consenting

other than that its pretty much identical
that turned into a big advert for Yorkshire Tea
people going out and buying it that don't even like tea
I like the top tweet in that search... about boris drinking water "your move lefties"
looks like a few people are trying to make #Leftwaffe a thing... I like it...
Well, it looks like I'm changing my shopping list from 'tea' to 'Yorkshire tea'
Ive got a near full box, so Im good for a bit
noticed italy's supermarkets are being rushed
I'm not suprised, might as well pick up some extra supplies while I'm out
I got a delivery comin at 2pm .. bit of tinned food
Fun fact: The Abolition of Slavery movement in the UK during the 18th and 19th centuries produced some great patriotism
In 1785, English poet William Cowper wrote:
"We have no slaves at home – Then why abroad?
Slaves cannot breathe in England; if their lungs
Receive our air, that moment they are free.
They touch our country, and their shackles fall.
That's noble, and bespeaks a nation proud.
And jealous of the blessing. Spread it then,
And let it circulate through every vein."
think england was the first ever nation to abolish slavery of its own people
the king declared no englishman can be a slave in the year 1102
We never had many black slaves in the UK anyway
Since why have to feed, clothe and provide shelter for a slave when you can just pay a Working Class peasant a pittance for the same work
well.. certainly not back then .. but a lot of english, scottish, welsh and irish were slaves
I'm talking more about in the 18th and 19th centuries
yeah at that time if there was a british slave, they would have been growing tobacco or sugar in the carribean colonies
only about 14k slaves in the UK when slavery was abolished by the empire
Since it was cheaper to just get a Working Class person to do the work than get a slave
Since as I said, you have to feed, clothe and provide shelter for said slave
and they were educated, well dressed, even paid (albeit a pittance) and mainly just served tea
While you could just pay a pittance to the Working class
This is why I don't like SJWs that talk about racism in this country and how the British Empire was racist
Yeah sure, it was during the early period, but there were alot worse, Belgium killed 10 million in a few years, 10 million died over a period of CENTURIES for the British
I mean it was pretty racist the whole time but I agree we need to start hammering the EU for being worse colonialists than us
What about the Abolition of slavery?
and the Blockade of Africa?
Where the British and Americans sent a squadron each to capture slaver ships and free black slaves
Already my favourite quote:
"We have no slaves at home – Then why abroad?
Slaves cannot breathe in England; if their lungs
Receive our air, that moment they are free.
They touch our country, and their shackles fall.
That's noble, and bespeaks a nation proud.
And jealous of the blessing. Spread it then,
And let it circulate through every vein."
Honestly when people bring up slavery just say " that happened ages ago and is no longer relevant" abd if they bring it up again just say "I don't care"
