The Ark Dev Kit for modding

2020-02-05 04:35:35 UTC

And Ark itself for the mods I use alongside the game

Do you know what motherboard you have, or if your computer was pre-made, what model it is?

2020-02-05 04:37:15 UTC

It was built by my friend, which he sold to me. It’s worth about 1000 in total

2020-02-05 04:37:22 UTC

That’s the most I know about it

2020-02-05 04:37:52 UTC

I’m making a stop at Best Buy tomorrow, so I’ll be talking to the guys there tomorrow as well.

In the windows search, find 'system information'

2020-02-05 04:39:18 UTC

In the system summary tab (left side), you should see an entry under 'system manufacturer' (right side) that says 'system model'

2020-02-05 04:40:32 UTC

should look like this

2020-02-05 04:40:57 UTC

What does that model say

2020-02-05 04:41:15 UTC

All it says is “to be filled by O.E.M

2020-02-05 04:41:40 UTC

hm

2020-02-05 04:41:49 UTC

^for manufacturer

2020-02-05 04:42:01 UTC

Oh, we just need model

2020-02-05 04:42:36 UTC

Says the exact same thing lmao

2020-02-05 04:42:40 UTC

fjkl;;lskjf

2020-02-05 04:42:55 UTC

Do windows + r then type 'cmd.exe'

2020-02-05 04:43:11 UTC

Run command:
```
wmic csproduct get name,identifyingnumber,uuid
```

2020-02-05 04:43:20 UTC

On a command line?

2020-02-05 04:43:40 UTC

uuid actually shouldn't be needed

2020-02-05 04:43:41 UTC

yes

2020-02-05 04:44:01 UTC

wmic is dark magic, very spooky

2020-02-05 04:47:06 UTC

If it still says the same thing

2020-02-05 04:47:13 UTC

Then we have a small problem

2020-02-05 04:47:48 UTC

Do I need to type the “ ‘ “ for cmd.exe?

2020-02-05 04:47:55 UTC

no

2020-02-05 04:48:39 UTC

Okay

2020-02-05 04:50:03 UTC

How important is all of this to my original question about storage space?

2020-02-05 04:50:20 UTC

OEM is a special kind of license for windows that ties it to the motherboard forever

2020-02-05 04:50:35 UTC

I feel like we’re back tracking quite a bit

2020-02-05 04:50:44 UTC

Your storage space is limited in part by the number of SATA ports on the motherboard

2020-02-05 04:51:39 UTC

Okay so not all hard drives are compatible with every motherboard?

2020-02-05 04:51:44 UTC

You can only have one hard drive per port

2020-02-05 04:51:54 UTC

All drives should be compatible

Nonono

2020-02-05 04:53:10 UTC

Windows key + r at the same time on your desktop

2020-02-05 04:53:20 UTC

That will make the run box

2020-02-05 04:53:34 UTC

ah okay
