The article made a correction the next day

2020-02-26 05:33:11 UTC

And we are not made of sulfur

2020-02-26 05:33:39 UTC

Less than 1% of the human body is made of sulfur or it's derivatives

2020-02-26 05:34:06 UTC

you dont need to convince me , talk to SQ

2020-02-26 05:34:54 UTC

Do you believe him?

2020-02-26 05:35:23 UTC

i think you are trying to convince urself of something

2020-02-26 05:35:27 UTC

who is this peng?

2020-02-26 05:35:36 UTC

``` Peng said the burning of oil or coal would produce high levels of sulfur dioxide```
2020-02-26 05:35:56 UTC
sounds like they are trying to backtrack fast
2020-02-26 05:36:01 UTC
for some raisin
2020-02-26 05:36:54 UTC
Backtrack the coal production?
2020-02-26 05:37:13 UTC
```Peng added that even if coal, gas, or oil was used to burn the bodies, it would be unlikely to produce such a large concentration of sulfur dioxide.```

2020-02-26 05:37:17 UTC

"the bodies"

2020-02-26 05:37:20 UTC

what bodies?

2020-02-26 05:37:34 UTC

what bodies peng?

2020-02-26 05:39:38 UTC

Human bodies

2020-02-26 05:39:52 UTC

That's a hypothetical

2020-02-26 05:41:32 UTC

And there is nothing to be convince

2020-02-26 05:42:41 UTC

Sulfur inside proteins cannot combine with oxygen to create sulfur oxide

2020-02-26 05:42:49 UTC

During cremation

2020-02-26 05:43:04 UTC

Sulfur gets trap inside the protein

2020-02-26 05:45:48 UTC

Sulfur trapped in protein /= sulfur dioxide

If you take the time to actually look at the epicenter of that sulphur dioxide cloud on google earth, you can see it's a fuck off massive steelworks. now, they could be burning bodies at the steelworks, but once again, that level of emissions makes sense for a steel mill and doesn't make sense for bodies.

2020-02-26 06:42:24 UTC

Wuhan has a steel mill?

2020-02-26 06:44:02 UTC

yes, a huge one. Chongqing has an even bigger one, which is why its sulphur emissions are even higher. as for the northern cloud of emissions, the entirety of Henan province is an industrial wasteland and is fucking disgusting.

2020-02-26 06:44:45 UTC

basically, nuke China

2020-02-26 06:50:36 UTC

I hope someone stops posting the emission map here

2020-02-26 06:50:50 UTC

Unless we are steel mill production enthusiast

2020-02-26 06:51:26 UTC

I don't mind him posting it because it is news, in a way... climate news and industry recovery news.

2020-02-26 06:52:01 UTC

Might as well

2020-02-26 06:52:35 UTC

Ye sure thing, boring anyway

2020-02-26 06:52:40 UTC

China has stopped the outbreak

2020-02-26 07:15:52 UTC

The **COsc** (carbon monoxide surface concentration) is a more interesting stat to follow than the Sulphur dioxide, actually don't think I have even posted much about sulphur in the past.

2020-02-26 07:19:01 UTC

(also, there's hope)
