I remember working as basically a part time systems designer and getting about half of the entry pay ($12)
Tho I soon got a raise since I was literally the one handling all their internal sharepoint pages at one point
@darops of cheese as someone who does IT on/off professionally, you'd make more off of home repair or something of that nature, you get paid $20 an hour at the start

before I sound like a marxist I should say governments AND politicians together are the ones that directly enable these sorts of rackets through lobbying and monopolization/duopolization + state deregulation of industries leading to a disincentivisation of quality and exceptionality, followed by an incentivization of cashflow at every cost (aka the end result of another "it will work this time" economic protection racket); as supposed to the accruement of capital in and of itself as much as boinie sawnders and bug eye cortez want to pretend that income inequality is the be all and end all of all socio-economic travesties; in all of their "flawless" bought and paid for "wisdom" + all of their 6-7 figure yearly earnings ironically enough 😂
