"No federally" "some states"
What...
States have diff laws than federal law
Like recreational weed
Federally "do your time" or some states "do your time" Which is it?
Federally they say if you have a felony on your record than you can not own a gun
Was there supposed to be a comma somewhere? I don't want to be misconstrued.
States say "do ur time"
Stfu grammar nazi
I am a nazi correct.
Gay
thx
But for real
This is ridiculous
Dude.
I don't know which "Federal" legislation you're talking about that prevents felons from having guns.
Only states have that law.
Btw like what you said about dems loosing guns cuz people red flagging them dont you think their whiney asses wouldnt do it back??
Is it Federal Firearms Act of 1938?
```The FFA was repealed by the Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA)```
Fucking idiot, thats a gun manufacture tax
Firearms act 1938 then made them able to apply for relief from the disability of not being able to possess a gun." If the felon can convince the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms that the circumstances surrounding the crime and subsequent felony conviction were such that the felon should not be considered a public safety risk, then the felon may be granted the right to legal gun ownership.
No its not idiot
... Its a gun tax, go read the legislation. Not some cucked new sources.
Rolls eyes i did where does it say its a tax xD
The tax is one of 5 acts in 1934
So you are correct there is one that is a tax
So... There's a National Firearms Act of 1934... (I think it should be fucking repealed tbh)
18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). It says that anyone "who has been convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year" is barred from possessing a gun. The only felonies that are not covered by the federal gun ban are 1) those "pertaining to antitrust violations, unfair trade practices, restraints of trade, or other similar offenses relating to the regulation of business practices," per 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(20)(A); and 2) felony convictions from foreign countries, per Small v. United States, --- U.S. ---, 2005 WL 946620 (April 26, 2005).
Then a Federal Firearms act of 1938.
Theres it from federal law book
There it is*
I been up to long to type properly lmfao
I do dig the unlawful illegal alien part.
Which california failed miserably to uphold that.
Which act amended that part though?
```(20)The term “crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year” does not include— (A)any Federal or State offenses pertaining to antitrust violations, unfair trade practices, restraints of trade, or other similar offenses relating to the regulation of business practices, or (B)any State offense classified by the laws of the State as a misdemeanor and punishable by a term of imprisonment of two years or less.```
So white collar criminals are excluded.
Makes sense.
Ya that im ok with
