Well. Every part has certain specifications that we would be required to meet. Very precise measurements. We needed to use tools to get the parts to fit the specifications. Hammers, clams, presses, ect.

If the dimensions were correct we would move on to the next piece.

doesn't reworking it after hardening change the mechanical specs?

No hardening came after straitening.

It would be sent out to another location to get heat treatment.

Well different parts required different orders of steps.

Some parts actually needed to come out of a freezer because they were more malleable frozen.

There is so much cool shit I got to see there. It was awesome. We made tank parts, helicopter parts, rocket parts, guns.
