reddit + twitter do not equal the internet though. and if youre winding back to 2007 then the internet didnt even have the mainstreamstay those platforms do now, so it kind of makes sense like TV regulations. im not denying what they do is overboard and to be fought against but its better to shoot energy to new platforms and other areas than lament the inevitable tide of safety chamfering of Big Social. thoughts?
for the same reason elderly people do
2007 you had myspace, news sites
umm
music
that also brought a lot of normies
myspace died in 2007
multimedia capable bandwidth
once fb began accepting everyone
youtube
yes sir
youtube was launched in '05
but didnt take off til....2008ish?
back in the day, the only reason to step onto the internet was to fuck around or do business
in a big way
usenet n shit
weird basement hacker men
and now is totally ridiculous. people i watch have obviously watered down their content HEAVILY because youtube keeps adding more and more fucking rules
i had a developmentally disabled friend in 2005 telling me about youtube. i typed in "utube" and told him look it doesnt exist and he didnt counter me. thats how i realized i was the retard
newest one is you can't swear or you're age-registricted/demonetized
so MDE being banned from youtube wouldnt make much diff
hasnt it always been that way though? news reporters would lose their job over a couple swears on the tellybox
that's the news...this is youtube
im going to invent the hy pernet
FCC
which is the next logical step
direct thought-to-thought communication
both are advertiser funded though. as per always
it will be the internet of the internet
you'll need 180+ iq to join
you have to pay to get hbo
and you'll communicate through thoughts and the government cant join
but the FCC has guidelines for the airwaves
regulations
youtube just makes up rules
it will be me, ted kaczynski, christopher langan, and da vinci
that they didnt have til recently
Christopher langan lol
yeah ted would be big into that
totally aligns with his anti-technology stance
