The thing was that if he walked just a couple hundred feet down the river he couldn’t cross
He would’ve found a bridge across alongside a building with people in it
But it’s like he got to the river and just gave up and went back
yeah like i said he wasn't really equipped to handle the situation and he didn't have enough understanding and awareness of his environment
