A dishonest argument which is extremely fallacious and inconsistent yet highly elaborate. Riddled with mental gymnastics, the argument is made in order confuse people so they are more easily tricked into believing something that isn't true, usually to the benefit of the arguer. It is very similar to sophistry, but has its origins far away from ancient Greece.
