Bethesda has been using the same engine for 20 years now
It's broken as fuck
@Lupus_Dei - NC agreed as I've been to all the places in the beltway where f3 takes place.
Personally I hate turn based combat, but I did love KOTOR
KotOR was actually a video game for the d20 Star Wars TTRPG
Which I used to play the shit out of in college with friends
shit
>kotor is turn based
>talking to a guy who's favorite rpg ever is Dragon Quest VIII
someone actually played that?
Yeah
I had a campaign going for years
wew
t. fa/tg/uy
>not playing the Discworld MUD
Old school fa/tg/uy
I was there during warhammer wednesdays
That brings back memories
I remember the original Old Man Henderson thread
ayy
how to win at CoC
Technically not CoC
Which was a d20 Cthuhlu RPG
You can't win at CoC
@Wraff you see that new call of cthulu survival horror rpg?
my 3000 page backstory has all the reasons why I think those are the same thing
Yeah I saw the release trailer for it
lol
Hopefully it will be good
I'm a massive Lovecraft nerd so any new Lovecraft media thrills me
have you seen the bugman take on Lovecraft? Documentary on jewtube
@Wraff horror games are so hit and miss.
I haven't seen it, and yeah most horror games miss the point
I enjoyed Call of Cthuhlu Dark Corners of the Earth, but the whole game should have been like the first two missions
Lovecraft's horror is a step beyond the jumpscare, hard for many developers to fully articulate it
Half of them are designed for pewdiepie and markiplier to act like retards for livestream clicks.
Basically
I actually ran a campaign through the orignal Dark Corners of the Earth setting for Call of Cthuhlu IRL
The video game didn't quite do it justice
Lot of stuff they could have done, but they were rushed
I think every Lovecraft game since Dark Corners has been in development hell for over a decade
They had planned a whole series of Cthuhlu games after Dark Corners relative success
