I'm hoping hydrogen wins out over battery storage
Evs are on life support
Fisker is dead basically. Tesla is losing $1.5 billion a year and rising
no dude, tesla is on life support, other companies are doing it a lot better
Sure, you might be able to make a Tesla go 1000 miles within the decade, but good luck getting a dump truck to go more than 50 miles on the same battery tech
look at jaguar and hyundai
And the established mfgs are making compliance cars
Tgey make them because the law requires it
volvo are totally withdrawing pure ICE cars and going hybrid/electric only
Like, here in my state you can only buy two EVs, Tesla and the mitsubishi shitbox one with the stupid name
toyota are pouring money into the mirai
Nissan Leaf
The rest are only offered where it is required
Oh yeah that too
The leaf
Chevy Bolt
meanwhile Europe is drawing closer and closer to banning ICE
But yeah, outside of the cities in the US, hybrid tech is the future
Honestly as sad as it makes me I don't think there will be pure ICE cars on sale in 15 years
Closer and closer
Or a plan
well they sort of have
And you are right
The future is hybrids
the EU have "emissions" requirements for the long term
Which actually make sense
which are nearly impossible to meet
hence all the companies cheating them
They will eventually either back off or strangle their industries
no it's worse
The US already had that dilemma
what's happening is
they're forcing substandard products onto consumers which are overpriced
subsidizing it with tax
and selling it saying "you're helping the world and stopping people dying"
No amount of laws will make electrics popular or profitable
the whole EV and hybrid industry is an affront to capitalism, it's disgusting
It is
Which is why it will crash and probably take whole economies with it. Economics always wins, and it is a sore loser
Winner
