Loot crates are technically a lottery
Technically, or legally?
The original precedent for this is about baseball card booster packs.
Good example, card games
both
And it was ruled the companies aren't liable.
Now that is a lottery
Hey, let's ban those.
While were at it sometimes you get differing quality of food items, sounds like gambling
Ban it too
fuck it BAN EVERYTHING
XD
I never said I was pro banning it
I was just seeing a slippery slope is all. heheh
Also, I enjoy theatrics a bit.
Fair, but it is a slope im against
Im actually pro gambling tbh
Ah
It won't change.
It makes a ton of revenue
Yeah
A lot of things do.
for the states as well
MTG cards sell all the time, right?
the state lottos pay almost all the running of public schools
Wish I'd gotten a black lotus back in the day.
XD
That'd be fucking sweet.
They are worth so damn much now
ridiculous.
The issue with TCGs is the company profit is miniscule
3rd party is the money
And even then mtg has begun stabbing that
Are you relating this to loot boxes?
or is it random?
Reprinting them to valueless
Loot crates are similar for the ones with a 3rd party market yes
They release new ones and retire old ones all the time.
This will be used as a defense for any lawsuit against lootboxes and it will almost guaranteed, win.
No i am meaning rereleasing old ones
