Also write a very stern letter to the King of the EU about how in the course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bonds which have connected them with another. Trust me this shit i gold.

2019-03-14 02:37:58 UTC

Your aim is to send a message that your national spirit is too strong to subjugate.

2019-03-14 02:38:36 UTC

If you fail, well, you tried. If you succeed, someone else will be inspired.

2019-03-14 02:39:11 UTC

Success is NOT GUARANTEED. So be prepared for failure. On your own terms.

2019-03-14 02:39:17 UTC

Are you so sure that ANY action can only have a positive effect or none?

2019-03-14 02:39:34 UTC

Because that specific idea of harming trade I can see backfiring

2019-03-14 02:39:47 UTC

No. But I do know that inaction cannot help you at this point.

2019-03-14 02:39:58 UTC

Actually making me a common enemy between the gov and the people.

2019-03-14 02:40:11 UTC

The people will suffer.

2019-03-14 02:40:27 UTC

They will either way.

2019-03-14 02:40:41 UTC

Surely minimising that is something worth taking into account

2019-03-14 02:40:47 UTC

Or is that just a tactical weakness?

2019-03-14 02:41:15 UTC

But it can be either a short lived suffering to save them, or a long term, less obvious suffering that destroys their spirit.

2019-03-14 02:41:40 UTC

Of course, do not harm innocents.

2019-03-14 02:41:45 UTC

Here this is a good template. Send something like this to Brussels;

http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/

2019-03-14 02:42:23 UTC

You could find a group of likeminded people and storm an armory.

2019-03-14 02:42:47 UTC

Will definitely get you killed and send a message that you were trying to revolt.

2019-03-14 02:43:31 UTC

Or I mean listen to Ender LARP....

2019-03-14 02:43:59 UTC

I would already be dead over there. But I'm not British.

2019-03-14 02:44:25 UTC

This is all what I would do for America.

2019-03-14 02:45:08 UTC

Hey it's good ideas even if it's on the deep end of things, and I just needed a kick in the right direction. Jym I'll check that out.

2019-03-14 02:47:50 UTC

The part Ender gets right is it has to be in the domain of real life, not official correspondence or the internet.

2019-03-14 02:48:13 UTC

My point, is that you've already done the usual protesring shit, and look at how effective it was.

2019-03-14 02:48:42 UTC

I haven't. Heck I voted remain. Been something of a system shock.

2019-03-14 02:49:10 UTC

You need people to perceive you ass too insane to easily deal with, sothat they just give up.

2019-03-14 02:49:31 UTC

Plot twist

2019-03-14 02:50:28 UTC

Yeah the problem with internet is that it is too easy. Like Tweeting your representative is 1/10th of an Email. An Email is 1/10th of a physical letter. So you can have 100x the effect by actually writing and sending something much less physically talking to someone.

2019-03-14 02:51:07 UTC

You will obviously need to meet up with others who are as determined, so attending protests is still smart.

2019-03-14 02:51:44 UTC

Joining your local CoC will maximize your political power more than any social media can.

2019-03-14 02:52:26 UTC

Since social media will be blocked pretty quickly anyway.

2019-03-14 02:53:28 UTC

I think thatif you hold outlong enough, other EU countries will start to join in. Discontent seems widespread.

2019-03-14 02:53:57 UTC

Even outside of that. The CoC has actual impact on local decisions to a degree no internet politics could hope for. So the politicians have to apy attention to them.

2019-03-14 02:54:50 UTC

@Jym Have to keep in mind thatthey do not have actual rights to protest there.

2019-03-14 02:55:06 UTC

Again, the username is relevant, what's the CoC?

2019-03-14 02:55:19 UTC

They can be given 'permissions'.

2019-03-14 02:57:14 UTC

(I probably know, just don't know that acronym)

2019-03-14 02:57:48 UTC

Chamber of Commerce. Not sure what the UK equivalent is. It's a casual organization of local business interests. In my country they actually audit public programs and often fill diplomatic trade roles.

2019-03-14 02:58:28 UTC

Like the reason most Toyotas are now made in Kentucky an Tennessee is that those CoCs negotiated the deal.

2019-03-14 02:58:36 UTC

Nlt sure how thekr system is structured, even party affiliation seems to cost money. Might not be as feasible.

2019-03-14 03:01:14 UTC

Not sure myself. Most of the Intermarrium uses the CoC designation but unsure how widespread it is in Europe. There has to be some sort of similar organization because you can't get anything done otherwise.

2019-03-14 03:02:41 UTC

They have weird bullshit with... Well, the EU.
