precisely because of the boom
you can create some really good kicks, then put them on some other speakers and they're shit in comparison
Ahh, do you mean to be able to crank the volume?
I have two monitors. I have KRK Rokit G3 5's and M-Audio BX5 D2's.
I don't remember what the name is for some reason
but the lower frequencies gets more affected by the room
so it creates strong peaks because it resonate with the room
and they create blind spoits
spots*
I guess you'll have to try them out on different headphones, speakers, etc
to compare
it's a shitty situation, but there is a reason these guys pay huge sums to have their rooms treated
again, it's possible to get around this, by having others check it, finding out what to look for with your equipment
etf
etc
I'm not saying it's not possible
just harder
and something to keep in mind
Yeah, my room doesn't have the best acoustics either.
Guess, I will have to try lots of speakers.
Good thing is I can really crank my speakers due to living out in the country
avicii made a lot of music without ever creating a kick
well
if you increase the speaker volume
you are actually making the situation worse
because the room will affect the sound more
Should I do it at lower volumes then? Not booming?
probably both
I don't really finish any music
so I don't even have my speakers connected
Haha, I don't either
I come up with ideas then I get stuck with arrangement and mixing
I never know how to arrange a song properly
And, then I never finish mixing because I want it to be perfect and it never will be.
When was the last project you finished and were happy with music wise?
never

Shit man, how many project files?
how many projects I have started and never finished?
thousands
