alright, 3200 over the hyperX

2019-11-01 12:46:33 UTC

3200 with a timing of 14

2019-11-01 12:46:42 UTC

and the 3600 non X cpu

2019-11-01 12:46:56 UTC

its very good value

2019-11-01 12:47:28 UTC

sounds like black magic to me tbh
good tips in any case, thanks
no idea how to judge modern stuff tbh, on win7 midrange from ~6yrs ago

2019-11-01 12:48:04 UTC

be sure the mainboard is compatible with the 3000 series, might have to be flashed by the merchant

2019-11-01 12:48:37 UTC

windows 10 pro you can get for 25 bucks legit from grey market sites

2019-11-01 12:50:59 UTC

too much grug to know what's up but I will pass it on
bloke in the local gamershop gave me the original specs as a basic offer

2019-11-01 12:51:34 UTC

if you want to stick with the 2600 thats fine too, then you should only put in faster ram

2019-11-01 12:52:02 UTC

3200 cl14 or equivalent

2019-11-01 12:52:40 UTC

Obligated by mummy government to spend all my shekels before the local council takes it so I can probably get the thiccer stuff

2019-11-01 12:53:33 UTC

looking at £1200-ish with your updated specs I think

2019-11-01 12:54:00 UTC

so long as grug gets extreme graphics and 60fps it is fine

2019-11-01 12:54:26 UTC

cpu / mainoard / ram should be 4-500 ish for my combo

2019-11-01 12:56:59 UTC

what, FPS? that's pretty thicc

2019-11-01 12:57:07 UTC

oh money

2019-11-01 12:57:52 UTC

well, rather be an epic gaymer than a tax revenue source so many thanks

2019-11-01 13:24:25 UTC

should last you 5-10 y for base system

2019-11-01 13:24:36 UTC

performance wise

2019-11-01 13:53:53 UTC

> £890 for a
> AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.9GHz Six Core AM4
> Gigabyte B450M 52H AMD Socket AM4 Micro
> Kingston HyperX 16GB FURY Black Heatsink 2666Mhz
> Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Mini 6GB VR Ready

1) Board seems OK
2) get a 3600
3) get faster memory -> DDR4-3000, 3200 if possible. Here in Germany there's a sale for DDR4-3733 for 70€ or so
4) drop the HDD and go for a 500GB SSD of good quality or go for 1TB SSD
5) PSU is crap, get either a be quiet Pure Power 11 with 400W or Bitfenix Formula
6) get an RX5700 instead of the totally overpriced 2060

2019-11-01 13:56:12 UTC

@Tyburn That's how I'd see it.

2019-11-01 13:56:27 UTC

oh and the Board should be switched to an MSI MAX thingy...

2019-11-01 13:56:37 UTC

because out of the box Zen2 compatibility.

2019-11-01 14:27:29 UTC

@Stefan Payne seeing some consensus so that's good
What part is the PSU and board?
don't recognize most of itI'm so out of date

2019-11-01 14:40:05 UTC

Its group regulated, DF with a crappy fan, so TL:DR: won't last long and cause Problems, reduce lifetime of your stuff

2019-11-01 14:45:06 UTC

yes tomahawk is good board too

2019-11-01 14:45:09 UTC

3000 ready

2019-11-01 14:45:33 UTC

dont buy 570 chipset boards they have active cooling and offer stuff you wont use anyway

2019-11-01 14:48:45 UTC

pretty good less nonsense board

2019-11-01 14:49:32 UTC

secondign the SSD tip

2019-11-01 14:49:47 UTC

you need to go pure ssd for storage

2019-11-01 14:50:08 UTC

just install the games you actually play

2019-11-01 14:50:54 UTC

you could also buy a little cheap ssd to put windows on

2019-11-01 14:51:07 UTC

and use the 500 for just games

2019-11-01 14:51:41 UTC

keeping steam library outside of windows related folders

2019-11-01 16:19:47 UTC

lost me at "DF" stefan
but yeah some good ideas to shop around with, see if i can get it all cheaper from other suppliers and etc

2019-11-01 16:29:52 UTC

2019-11-01 16:30:47 UTC
