Only in America, which at this point resembles a 80’s and/or 90’s dystopian sci fi film
The only difference is that we aren’t packed into big cities like they thought we would be.
You know what really annoys me?
People that defend communism without ever having lived in a communist or ex-communist country.
that's fairly common
or even visiting one on vacation
Those are the shit libs from the middle class
You kinda just have to deal with them atm, until the boogaloo
I traveled to Hungary when I was young with my parents, when the USSR were still kind of in control,
and I remember passing the border from Austria to Hungary,
and there was a minefield, machinegun turrets, sniffer dogs when passing the border..
we had to report to the police station on arrival to inform them where we were staying,
there were even some shops specifically reserved for tourists that local people couldn't go in,
you had to show a passport to go in to buy goods from outside of hungary,
like swiss chocolate or alcohol perfume, it was like a special "duty-free" shop but you needed to NOT be hungarian to enter.
I was young, about 8 or 9? so vaguely remember but it still marked me.
Yeah that’s fucked up
Serving the out group visiting like that
Part and parcel of a communist society
yeah, if you visit, you can buy products from outside,
but not if you're local..
no blue-jeans 😉
Where do I sign?
forgot to include email..
@snake wealthy people defending communism should have been over by the 30s if not the 60s
Why ?
If they defended it back then, why stop?
Stalin had the show trials in the 30s. Then he died and the gulag archipelago after the 50s
Yeah so the social pressure, perfectly reasonable position, but the issue is that wealthy middle class urbanites still defend communism.
Though you’re correct, they shouldn’t defend communism
I don’t understand why it’s the case
I've been reading this book about a lot of 20th c. Intellectuals
Apparently at some point there was a consensus among the educated class that communism was The Future (TM)
Well I’m pretty sure that’s the case now days as well.
So then it took decades of evidence and mass murder before people stopped defending the soviet union.
With some rare exceptions, such as Jordan Peterson, but he’s just as globalistic.
Yet we’ve reverted back in time
So it seems
That seems to be a theme, we’re going back
Spanish civil war... history or future?
A mix of the Spanish civil war and Yugoslavia ethnic wars
Is going to be the future
Too much Ideological, Religious, class and ethnic division.
