big money
materials science is where I see the money
imagen having an iq so high u make a living from doing physics lol
Right
you could become the next black science man
Materials science is definitely where the future of research is heading
follow your dreams
Materials science is where the US has primarily stayed ahead, especially in military tech (US is still fundamentally a Military Industrial Economy - Military on Taxpayer dime does most creation and innovation).
I really am curious about quantum computers. How far are we from a revolution in the types of problems we can solve
USSR was pretty much constantly ahead on maths and physics
US though was better at tabletop stuff
Actually building things out of the maths
And physics
i trolled my chess rating down to 1800 today now im just enjoying slaughering my oponents lol
@fuguer What do you think about the whole "Russian Math" schools?
I know some people that send their kids to the russian math schools.
What's the essential advantage?
@Praze It's my takeaway
From memoirs and such I've read
I think it’s just math tutoring I’m not sure how it’s different
For instance, the USSR developed the math of stealth
My son does those math Olympiad competitions
The US took those papers and actually built stealth
the ussr sucked a dick at building anything
other then the ak
Capitalism
Has its advantages
Because building stuff takes an economy and capitalism
no just at somepoint you have to make a proto type
Yep
and quit being a draw/math- f word
The minute you allow a 160 IQ master machinist math and physics guy to make $1million a year building secret stuff, shit happens

He really puts forth effort
And you get innovations
