They use not only the New Testament but the Old Testament as well, as the Jews do.
— Epiphanius of Salamis, Panarion 29.7.2
>wow it is almost like Christians were actually an obscure sect of Jews <:kraut:389881471881576448>

Hasmonean
They have the Gospel according to Matthew **in its entirety in Hebrew**. For it is clear that they still preserve this, in the Hebrew alphabet, as it was originally written.

american protestant Christianity is the most honest Christianity in the sense that it's just euros larping as Jews
🧄
tldr Christianity is a made up religion, which even Christians in the ancient times didn't recognize the original iteration
og Christianity was actually lost by the 300's
look at this ugly pos
its ugly but still really cool
that looks like an evil fortress
it looks like it belongs on a metal album cover
Jesus was Heir to the Hasmonean throne, the "crucifixion" was just a black flag operation to stage jesus' death and secure the release of his son and future Heir (jesus bar abbas)
prove me wrong
soooo fking ugly
I kinda wonder if Biblical Jesus is based on that Barabas character
"A lot of christians dismiss the old testament and just throw all of those rules out the window (see Leviticus for example, no touching pigs, no shellfish, no blended fibers). Apparently Jesus dying changed all the rules."
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. (NIV, Matthew 5:17–18)
no. Bar abbas means son of
yah I know
first name was jesus
but the NT mentions a guy called Barabas
I wonder if that is what they based Jesus on
no, they mention his son
since the actual Jesus was some sort of pagan deity
seems like they mixed the Nazarene with Barabas
he was probably heir to the local (hasmonean) throne
and created Biblical Jesus
hence being called Messiah
Boi the tippercoaster still continues
=king
well the NT goes out of its way to contrast Barabas with Jesus
as a sort of literary ploy
there are no divine connotations to messiah in ancient hebrew
but apparently Barabas was also called Jesus
indeed
