but i dont really think it is "individualistic" anymore what with intersectionality and such. but its kind of hard to say

@NeoFuturist i hate the whole gendercide trope in sci fi. gives me the creeps

"identity politics are bad, btw im a civic nationalist"

like

arent all politics about identity

It's basically a mutation of the idea that individuals have 'inherent rights' mixed quasi-ethnic markers that are pulled out from traits considered inherent.

And so the left has a way to create artificial constituencies with which to attack opposing members of the power structure.

@NeoFuturist but thats probably a good thing. maybe reading about it will make people appreciate sexual diphorphism and gender and start to reject egalitarianism because it reminds them of sci fi story where humanity became androgenous aliens

@NeoFuturist i posted something i wrote in the sci fi section of your server where i go over one of my favorite sci fi stories and how it made me reactionary

sci fi is the most horrifying genre

worse than any scary movie

@NeoFuturist the book uses relativity as a device so that one character can see human civilization develop over thousands of years

and a strong theme of the book is alienation from your society

because of changing social norms

which is very very reactionary

in the future heterosexuality is taboo because the government births all new humans in tubes

yes

read the rest of my overview of it

i dont really know if i spoil it tbh because i read it so long ago

but i just wrote down the stuff that still resonated to me even today

and used a synopsis to fill in the gaps

sorry if it's too fed like, i just found it funny
