WHY THE FRICK IS IT SO COMPLICATED TO VISIT MOUNT ATHOS

2019-04-03 10:15:59 UTC

First off, you're a heretic

2019-04-03 10:16:08 UTC

2nd, greece is a hellhole

2019-04-03 10:17:31 UTC

NO U

2019-04-03 10:17:49 UTC

😢 it's not fricken fair, I gotta fix the schism real quick

2019-04-03 10:17:56 UTC

Somebody once accused me of apostasy for going to divine liturgy.

2019-04-03 10:17:58 UTC

3rd despite mt.athos being the most based place on earth, they're pretty bureaucratised and fat due to all the tourism they get. So they are really moody there, to the point you have to make special arrangements with every monastery you plan on visiting

2019-04-03 10:17:59 UTC

Was hilarious.

2019-04-03 10:18:06 UTC

2019-04-03 10:18:31 UTC

@JoeyJoestar1337 You too m8, begome abosdolig

2019-04-03 10:19:07 UTC

I read about all that bureaucracy, I might just visit a nice church near where I will be staying and get an icon or something

2019-04-03 10:19:37 UTC

You're better off doing that tbh

2019-04-03 10:19:57 UTC

@Dave the Rave Prinknash and Buckfast are nice.

2019-04-03 10:19:57 UTC

Because when I was in Georgia we visited a few monasteries and famous churches, I thought it would be similar

2019-04-03 10:20:25 UTC

Even the Russian clergy is shilling that people visit local monasteries instead of going to Mt.Athos thinking that it's some orthodox version of hajj to mecca

2019-04-03 10:20:49 UTC

I'm going to Akita in August.

2019-04-03 10:21:41 UTC

Funny how the apparition hasn't been officially confirmed by the Holy see when the apparition predicts the persecution of those who were faithful to the liturgy. <:cathokike:291522267890974721>

@Daniil could you add "The problem with prayer in the Modern mass - Fr. Anthony Cekada" to the Catholic section of the reading list? it's an invaluable source.

2019-04-03 13:29:14 UTC

You got a pdf or nah

2019-04-03 13:42:55 UTC

I'll see if I can find one.

2019-04-03 14:17:12 UTC

2019-04-03 15:01:49 UTC

2019-04-03 15:02:14 UTC

I do wonder what an antique bookshop is doing with Father James Martin material.

2019-04-03 15:02:38 UTC

Nothing more ancient than debauchery

2019-04-03 21:28:33 UTC

2019-04-03 21:54:36 UTC

2019-04-03 21:54:55 UTC
