\*burns your house down\*
nothing personel
mine peaks at 65 °C under load
yeah 95W tdp aint gonna burn much
unlike certain 250w tdp GPUs
i disabled the stock TDP <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
huh
95W?
150W
yeah 9900K STOCK TDP is 95W
I thought i9 were in 130ish range
and more
way more when OCd
no, it's 95W advertised and what it should be with default BIOS settings
it can do it fine tbh, as long as you don't overclock it
this is with my fans off <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
but who the fuck runs prime 95 all day
unless its winter
:P
@Goz3rr you can get that kind of workload when compiling jvm/c++ projects a lot
for hours
so it's not completely unreasonable
nah, gcc doesn't produce anywhere near as much heat as prime95 small fft
AVX and FPU instructions are what really heat up a CPU
neither are used by compilers
but on stuff like stress-calculations and such
... reason why i have cryorig H5 in my 2600k
yeah that would do it
h5 iirc is specified for 160w (without fans)
(2600k being 95w TDP too )
and i have 2 fans on the heatsink sooo~
OC it
i watercooled my gpu and cpu
but run my system passive most of the time
it is already OCd duh
custom loop or aio?
custom
friendly reminder than AIO is an overpriced meme that performs at best as good as regular air coolers
as some wise man said : There is no "overkill." There is only "open fire" and "time to reload."
