`It can fire more than 1,000 “shots”, each lasting no more than two seconds.`

2018-07-02 16:26:27 UTC

i'm confused by the wording

2018-07-02 16:26:34 UTC

does that mean each shot can be 2 seconds

2018-07-02 16:26:38 UTC

And it would explode in high discharge applications unless a good chunk of that was heat mitigation

2018-07-02 16:26:43 UTC

or 1000 shots maximum at shortest duration

2018-07-02 16:27:17 UTC

I thought my google was sperging out with dates at first https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_calendar

2018-07-02 16:27:18 UTC

Let's talk light guns and laser weapons that cause cancer in <#189467888657235970> thanks

2018-07-02 16:27:24 UTC

turns out, thai years are 543 years ahead

2018-07-02 16:27:27 UTC

I think it fires for two seconds, then charges.

2018-07-02 16:29:42 UTC

@transience it does that on their windows too

2018-07-02 16:30:21 UTC

taiwan has minguo years (years since the founding of republic of china) but i think google still uses gregorian calendar, which seems used in day to day life anyway

2018-07-02 16:30:34 UTC

it's just official stuff and receipts that seem to use minguo years

2018-07-02 16:30:45 UTC

How backwards, someone needs to come by again and introduce the year of our lord to the heathens

2018-07-02 16:37:50 UTC

minguo is usually only used for government stuff

2018-07-02 16:38:18 UTC

because it was mandated a long time ago and now it's a matter of legacy support in terms of records keeping

2018-07-02 16:38:58 UTC

modern businesses will use western dating

2018-07-02 16:39:23 UTC

some things like expiration dates are still in minguo

2018-07-02 16:39:52 UTC

although it varies, some use it and some don't

2018-07-02 16:40:29 UTC

all the stuff i bought today from familymart, for example, uses western dating

2018-07-02 16:41:00 UTC

my 7-11 receipts were in minguo iirc

2018-07-02 16:41:18 UTC

i think all the lottery receipts are?

2018-07-02 16:42:55 UTC

just pulled a few out

2018-07-02 16:42:56 UTC

nope

2018-07-02 16:43:08 UTC

all my 7-11 and familymart receipts are the modern format

2018-07-02 16:43:10 UTC

>he plays the lotto

2018-07-02 16:43:20 UTC

no, i don't believe he does

2018-07-02 16:43:28 UTC

all the receipts you're given in taiwan carry with them a lotto number

2018-07-02 16:43:43 UTC

you can scan them with an app and win money

2018-07-02 16:43:58 UTC

Oh, thats lond of weird but neat

2018-07-02 16:44:00 UTC

it was done to encourage tax compliance

2018-07-02 16:44:32 UTC

even the old-style long and straight non-digital receipts that don't have QR codes that i just looked at

2018-07-02 16:44:38 UTC

they use western dating

2018-07-02 16:44:53 UTC

the actual receipt material, though, that the receipt is printed on

2018-07-02 16:44:56 UTC

it uses minguo dating

2018-07-02 16:45:01 UTC

2018-07-02 16:45:13 UTC

2018-07-02 16:45:17 UTC

<:thonk:288060975775612929>

2018-07-02 16:45:17 UTC

oh right

2018-07-02 16:45:20 UTC

i'm looking right below it

2018-07-02 16:45:44 UTC

there should be a western date as well on the receipt
